Recharter
We
have begun the Recharter process. The
Recharter fee is $40.00 for the year, which is the same that it has been for 12
years. The fee covers dues to Boy Scout
Council, Boys Life, Insurance, and some Pack dues. Our fundraisers (popcorn and luminaria) cover the remaining funds
needed to run the Pack for the year.
All boys must be Recharter by March 15th or they will need to
re-register. If there are any families that may have financial difficulties,
please see one of the Committee members. The Pack has a small fund for such
situations.
Camping
(inside) at Durant Nature Park in Raleigh
Our winter (indoor) camping trip has been rescheduled
for March 10th – 12th at the Durant Nature Park in
Raleigh. The facility has a ‘lodge’
(not fancy) which has bunks or cots for up to 38 people. We will be sleeping indoors. The ‘lodge’ has water, basic showers,
kitchen, etc. We will be having daytime
activities outside; the boys had a great time last year. We will have an outside campfire, etc., and
then sleep in the lodge. The price for
the trip will be $8.00 per participant (over 4) for the full weekend.
Fun at Patriots Point
Make
plans now to join Pack 201 as we go on an exciting weekend trip to Patriots
Point Naval and Maritime Museum. The
trip is scheduled for the weekend of September 8th, 2006 through
September 10th, 2006.
Because of the enormous popularity of the program, we have gone ahead
and made reservations. However, we need
to have everyone sign-up and pay by July.
This is a trip your scout and the entire family will enjoy. The cost of the trip is $60.00 per person.

Cub-O-Ree – Camp Reeves
There
will be a district wide Cub-O-Ree family campout at Camp Reeves held April
21-23rd. The theme this year is “Survivor”! The $12 cost for the
Scouts is covered by the Pack. Adults are $8. Siblings can participate for $12.
Non-participating siblings and siblings under 4 are free. All interested need
to register and pay by March 21st (to get the lowest rate). More
details about the planned activities will follow.
