Pinewood Derby

The Pack 201 Pinewood Derby will be held this Saturday – Feb. 3rd: See the separate schedule and approximate times. WE NEED SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS TO REGISTER, JUDGE AND HELP RUN THE RACES. Ideally we need people who can stay the whole morning. Tigers need to arrive at 9am sharp, Wolf & Bears at 9:30 and Webelos at 10:00. Any siblings or parents that want to race (just for fun) will be at 11:00.

The first, second and third place finishers for speed in all 3 divisions will advance to the district competition. The 1^st place finisher in Best design & Most Unique in each division will also advance to the district. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 winners within each group for Speed, Best Design & Most Unique.

NOTE: Cars not registered during assigned times will be disqualified. Starting times are approximate. Please plan to arrive a little early.

Fun Events

We had about 14 Scouts and leaders attend the Jellybeans Skating on Jan. 24^th. The next event is a sleepover at the Church with games in the Gym, Movies Pizza and snacks. That will be the evening of Feb. 23^rd through Saturday morning. Please sign up if you plan to attend.

Recharter

We’re beginning the Recharter process tonight. Please see Jan/Laura at the table if you are planning to Recharter your Scout for next year. Any returning Scouts need to Recharter by the end of March or they will not be able to participate in the Pack events. The cost will be $40 (same as it has been for 10+ years).

Scout Sunday

Feb. 4^th is Scout Sunday. Please attend your own church or join the Boy Scouts from T204 and attend here at the 1^st Baptist Church. Please wear your uniform.

Bakers & their items should be on-site no later than 6:10pm for judging.

Awards (1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd place) will be presented for:

X Best Use of Theme (Crazy Camping)

X Most Creative Overall

X Most Tempting (the one the judges would want to eat 1st, 2nd & 3rd)
